GIDEON C. M. DLAMINI

Gideon Dlamini is a strategist, governance specialist and former cabinet minister with more than four decades of experience across the public, private and non-profit sectors. He holds an MBA from the University of Hull and further qualifications in management consulting, leadership and governance, and quality management, gained in the United Kingdom, the United States and South Africa. He is now appointed as the Senior Strategic Business Advisor with Wealth Masters Group, headquartered in London, United Kingdom.
He began his career in banking and then spent fourteen years in the Eswatini public service. He later served as Country Director for the Institute of Development Management, and was a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow in the USA in 1999–2000. He was General Secretary of the Council of Eswatini Churches (2012–2013) and then a Member of Parliament and cabinet minister (2013–2018). This gives him first-hand insight into national, corporate, urban and chiefdom governance.
Since 2008 he has been Founder and Managing Director of GMS Consulting. The firm has served government ministries, state-owned enterprises, parliament, local authorities, cooperatives, NGOs, the private sector and international organisations. Recent assignments include strategic plans for the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development and for NERCHA, and integrated development plans for the Malkerns, Manzini and Matsapha councils.
